Valérie Rocoplan, CEO Talentis and Executive Coach : “Hello, I am delighted to be with you today with Didier Burgaud, consulting director at Qualintra. We both wanted to present to you the key success factors of 360, which is today the preferred tool for large groups to disseminate a feedback culture that is both authentic and effective.”
Hello, Didier, I am really happy to meet you today to discuss 360. We've been working together on 360 processes associated with professional coaching for 20 years now. We wanted to share with our customers how this tool is simple, powerful and highly impacting in terms of leadership development. Do you want to tell us in three words what 360 is? ”
Didier Burgaud, Qualintra Consulting Director : “360 is very simple, it is a tool for developing leadership skills that is expressed through a questionnaire. This questionnaire reflects the skills that the leader or manager must demonstrate. This questionnaire is administered to all of his observers, in any case, the people who work with him, so his manager, his peers, his colleagues, his collaborators, his internal or external customers, in any case, his internal or external customers, why not. It gives rise to an individual report, which is then debriefed during an individual coaching session and that's where Talentis comes in.”
Valérie Rocoplan, CEO Talentis and Executive Coach: “In a very short time, in an hour and a half, the manager has a very precise picture of his strengths as a leader, his points on which he must improve as a priority compared to what these various stakeholders say. What I think is quite great and you will tell me what you think about it, is that the 360 tool is a tool for the person as such, for leadership development, but it is also a tool for the development of a community of leaders where you can compare yourself to a community. For HR or for the company, it has a collective vision of the strengths and points of progress of its leaders. Moreover, you are administering a collective report.”
Didier Burgaud, Qualintra Consulting Director: “That is very important. There is the individual vision, obviously, without exaggeration, it is really a spectacular tool for individual development. It is also, for the company, a great tool for communicating expected behaviors to a college of leaders or managers. And then when we are on large cohorts, we analyze the data in a consolidated way to allow the HR Department to have a global vision of the skills mastered by this social body, whether leaders or managers, and behaviors that collectively need to be further strengthened.

Valérie Rocoplan, CEO Talentis and Executive Coach: “Well, now we know that now more than ever we need to spread a culture of authentic feedback, but we also need to help people make that feedback something they can do with it. So 360 helps to take a step back because we have numbers, but we also have qualitative comments that people give. So the magic of 360, I think, is that it helps the person digest the feedback and turn it into a real action plan.”
Didier Burgaud, Qualintra Consulting Director: “You always get good news in 360 feedback.”
Valérie Rocoplan, CEO Talentis and Executive Coach: “It's true, we don't just have things to develop.”
Didier Burgaud, Qualintra Consulting Director: “No, there are things that can be difficult at the moment because if the feedback is authentic, as you say, there is also everything that is going well and everything that could be better. At the same time, the good news is knowing it.”
Valérie Rocoplan, CEO Talentis and Executive Coach: “What is interesting is to say to yourself that 360 has evolved quite a bit in the last 20 years and I think that what we can highlight that is new is that the questionnaires are much more precise, faster and more concise. We don't want to drown people in a lot of data.”
Didier Burgaud, Qualintra Consulting Director: “Forty questions.”
Valérie Rocoplan, CEO Talentis and Executive Coach: “There you go! The reports are quite structured and we have tips & tools that allow us to already digest our report before our meeting with the coach. And then thanks to our Click & Coach platform at Talentis, we can quickly deploy a 360 program to 150 coaches in 27 countries, in any language. So the combination of your expertise in 360 and our expertise in coaching around the world, I think it's really a great tool for leadership development.”
